Instructions for the free version
For users of the free version of ChatGPT, start with the following prompt:
"Write a Sinterklaas poem for [name] with humor and traditional elements such as pepernoten and the steamboat. Add your own elements and use an ABAB or AABB rhyme scheme. Make sure the rhyme is consistent and avoid sensitive topics, but feel free to playfully tease [name]. Ask me five questions to make it personal."
The process
After following the instructions, ChatGPT will ask you five questions. Answer them all at once and you will receive a first draft of your poem. Important to know: ChatGPT regularly makes up words or phrases that its algorithm suggests should rhyme, but do not in practice. Use ChatGPT primarily as a source of inspiration and a starting point. You cannot simply input all the information and expect a finished poem in return. You will always need to put in some work yourself to refine the poem, correct the rhymes, and make the text truly personal.
